Snickerdoodles
I could make up a moving story about how my mum used to bake them for me on cold winter days. It would make quite the background for this recipe. Instead, I will tell you the truth. The first time I tried this recipe was because I found the name so funny. After having a good laugh, I could truly appreciate the chewy deliciousness of this cinnamon-loaded sugar cookie.
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven at 180°C (fan 160°C)
-
Combine soft butter and vanilla until fluffy
-
Add 90g of the sugar and the brown sugar and combine.
-
Add egg and half the cinnamon (1tsp) and mix until well uncorporated
-
Add the flour, baking soda, and salt and combine.
-
Form little balls and roll them in a mixture of the remaining sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon.
-
Bake for 12 minutes.
Note
- Don't put the balls too close to each other as they will spread a lot during baking.
- Don't be afraid to remove them from the oven while they still look soft, this will ensure they remain chewy.
